“Reader of the Runes – Rapture” by Elvenking
В рамките на „Картини от една изложба“ вече представяхме metal групата ELVENKING с албумите “The Pagan Manifesto”, или „Езически манифест“, и “Reader of the Runes – Divination”, или “Четецът на руни – предсказание”.
Трудно е еднозначно да се определи жанрът, в който се изявяват тези италианци, защото тяхната музика включва елементи на progressive, power и symphonic metal, наред с pagan metal и melodic death metal, в съчетание от традиционен folk и hard rock с мистични песнопения. Силно повлияни от Helloween, Skyclad и Blind Guardian, след създаването си през 1997 г. ELVENKING издават поредица от folk-metal / melody metal албуми, в които проявяват завидна изобретателност в диапазона от мощни оркестрови пасажи и помпозни хорове върху метъл основа, до нежни келтски балади. Затова не е случайно, че избират името на групата под влиянието на J.R.R. Tolkien и по-точно на неговата илюстрация „The Elevenking’s Gate“ към книгата „The Hobbit”.
Сега с единадесетия си студиен албум “READER OF THE RUNES – RAPTURE” (“ЧЕТЕЦЪТ НА РУНИ – ГРАБВАНЕТО”) от април 2023 година те продължават сагата си от три концептуални албума. В случая терминът „грабването“ в Християнската теология се отнася до въздигането и е споменат в Първото послание на Свети апостол Павла до Солуняни (1 Солуняни 4:16-17).
Ето как авторите ? DAMNA и AYDAN ни въвеждат в тематиката на своята сага, за да потеглим на наситено с приключения пътешествие в мистичен свят на руни, магии и незрими древни сили:
"Нашите текстове винаги са били вдъхновени от силни чувства: това, което обичаме, нашите страсти (като книги или филми), мрачни моменти в живота ни, или някаква история. Текстовете са ключов момент в нашата музика. Те са толкова важни, колкото и инструменталните части. За първи път в кариерата си ние създадохме цялостен свят с тази сага, който да се съчетава с нашата музика. Най-накрая успяхме да съчиним история, която да води и обгръща сърцевината на звуковата картина, нашето послание и настроението на песните ни.“
Певецът DAMNA пояснява:
„В центъра на повествованието е странен и мистериозен персонаж, “Четецът на руни“, и именно него виждате на обложката на албума. Ние се озоваваме в несигурен и мрачен свят, когато този загадъчен човек се появява в малко село. Започва да прави предсказания на хората от околността, мълвата за него бързо се разпростира и тогава почти всички от селото отиват в тази колиба, за да им бъде разкрито бъдещето или за да им каже нещо за съдбата им. Има осем персонажа, главните действащи лица в историята от сагата, на които прави предсказания този “Четец на руни“, имайки видения за всеки един от тези герои.
Ето какво се случва в албума “ЧЕТЕЦЪТ НА РУНИ – ГРАБВАНЕТО”:
…Зима. Тайнствена червена мъгла започна да се разстила над осемте жертви една по една. Предсказанията стават ярки и мрачните видения, доловени от Четецът на руни, преследват осмината избрани, сякаш тяхната жизнена кръв и надежди не са предопределени да издържат повече. Възелът, който свързва тяхното съществуване, бавно се затяга и луната свети над планинския поток, където древната тайна започва да диша отново и няма търпение да се върне към живот. Съдбата им е запечатана, миналото им предстои да бъде разказано…
Китаристът AYDAN допълва:
„Как да подходим музикално към втората част от трилогията „ЧЕТЕЦЪТ НА РУНИ – ГРАБВАНЕТО“? Това бе въпросът, който си задавахме много пъти, преди да финализираме процеса на писане на песните. Работихме върху втората и третата част от сагата едновременно заради пандемията Covid 19 и това наистина ни помогна да развием песните, текстовете и атмосферата им, върху цялата останала част от историята, тъй като ходът на събитията се нуждаеше от силната подкрепа на музиката.
И така, втората част наистина е по-мрачна, трагична и е с насилие, и това ни даде възможност да вдишаме напълно звуковия пейзаж, който вече имахме предвид, когато започнахме да съчиняваме песните в началото на 2020 г. Смятаме, че с този албум сме поставили крайъгълен камък и допълнителна граница на това, което можем да направим, като смесваме деликатно всичко, което обичаме в heavy metal жанра. Ние сме много доволни от всички нюанси, които съставят тези единадесет песни, като цяло те представят една картина, с която много се гордеем“ – завършва AYDAN.

Историята за героя Beowulf се развива в езическа Скандинавия през V и VI век след Христа, съгласно едноименната староанглийска епична поема. Тя се състои от 3182 стиха в традиционен старогермански стил с характерна алитерация и това е едно от най-важните и най-често превеждани произведения на староанглийската литература, включително от J.R.R.Tolkien.
…До земите на гаутите (Geats, Götar, Goths) в Южна Швеция, където управлява крал Hygelac, достига вестта за голяма беда, застигнала датчаните. Най-прославеният от неговите войни Beowulf заявява, че иска да помогне на Hrothgar, краля на датчаните, където всяка вечер в залата Heorot на неговия дворец чудовището Grendel разкъсва хора от свитата на краля. Beowulf побеждава Grendel с голи ръце, след което се справя и с майката на Grendel с гигантски меч, който намира в леговището ? на дъното на езеро. По-късно Beowulf става крал на гаутите и управлява в мир в продължение на петдесет зими. Един ден избягал роб се промъква в леговището на дракон, който отдавна спи върху куп погребани съкровища. Робът открадва златна чаша. Драконът се събужда и, разгневен заради липсата на чашата, напада народа на гаутите. Тази история намира отзвук в наши дни в най-новия албум на шведската heavy metal група, или по-точно това е триото GRAND MAGUS, като десетото заглавие в тяхната дискография се казва „SUNRAVEN“.

„Албумът е за Beowulf и Grendel. По същество Sunraven е Beowulf и това е мое собствено изобретение. Някои от песните са написани за и от гледната точка на Beowulf, а други са съчинени за и от гледната точка на Grendel, чудовището, срещу което той се изправя в Дания. Това този път някак си ме насочи и пренесе през процеса на създаване на текстовете. Никога преди не бях правил нещо подобно. Винаги съм бил очарован от тази приказка. Тези митове и легенди са за всички основни неща, за които пеем – живот, смърт, слава, безчестие, любов, омраза, преодоляване на трудности, изправяне пред дори невъзможното противопоставяне“ – завършва JANNE CHRISTOFFERSSON.

През 629 г. след Христа будисткият монах Genjo Sanzo (Xuanzang на китайски) предприема пътуване до Индия през пустинята Гоби, в резултат на което донася в Китай 657 санскритски текста и основава школата Faxian.
Вдъхновен от неговите приключения и значимостта на приноса му за развитието на цяла Източна Азия, японският музикант KITARO се включва в подготовката на документалната поредица на телевизия NHK.
Тази поредица е озаглавена „SILK ROAD”, или „ПО ПЪТЯ НА КОПРИНАТА“, чието начало е на 17 април 1980 г., след личната намеса на две от най-влиятелните фигури на тогавашен Китай – Чжоу Ен Лай и Дън Сяо Пин.
Филмите разказват за влиянието на страните от Китай до Рим за развитието на световната цивилизация и неочаквано дори за създателите си постигат изключителен успех сред телевизионната аудитория.
В третия албум с музика към сериала „ПО ПЪТЯ НА КОПРИНАТА“ KITARO се спира на величието на TUNHUANG, или ДУНХУАН („концентрирано великолепие“ в превод от китайски), оазис в пустинята Такламакан, провинция Гансу в Северозападен Китай.
По време на снимките с екипа на телевизия NHK той е силно впечатлен от разкритите през 1900 г. 500 древни пещери Могаоку (на Запад са известни като пещерите Могао), но местните хора ги наричат също така Циенфодун (Хиляда статуи на Буда).
Тук са открити над 45 хиляди ръкописа, наред с каноничните текстове има оригинални коментари, апокрифни книги, молитвеници, конфуциански и даоистки съчинения, несториански християнски текстове, литературни паметници, свързани с макиавейството и дори с юдеизма, сведения за управлението на китайските императори, административни документи, антологии, речници на специфични редки думи, календари, калиграфски ексерсизи.
Всъщност първите писмени сведения се свързват с император У от династия Хан (206 г. пр. н. е. – 220 г. след Христа), но по-нови археологически разкопки доказват, че историята на ДУНХУАН води чак до времената на династия Ся (ХХІ-ХVІ в. пр. н. е.). В една от пещерите Могао е открита и най-старата печатна книга в света – „Диамантената сутра“ (868), принтирана с помощта на дървени блокчета.
Но не само ръкописите впечатляват в ДУНХУАН, защото в пещерите Могао са открити безценни стенописи и скулптури, включително най-старата нарисувана с мастило „мандала“ (ІХ – Х в. сл.Хр.), и поради всичко това обектът е включен през 1987 г. в Списъка на ЮНЕСКО за паметници на световното културно и природно наследство.
И така, на 11 януари, събота, след новините от 22.00 ч. по програма “Хоризонт” на БНР, в предаването “Картини от една изложба®” ще чуем ремастерирана версия на албума „TUNHUANG”, или „ДУНХУАН“, на японския музикант KITARO, възпроизведена от грамофонна плоча.

На 4 януари програма "Хоризонт" на БНР отбелязва 53 години история, с пожелание за нови творчески успехи като информационен лидер в българското ефирно пространство!
Същевременно на тази дата ще бъде първото ни издание през новата 2025 година, при това с номер 1000 на вълните на програма „Хоризонт“.
За юбилейното хилядно предаване намислихме да звучи музика за по-широк кръг слушатели, и това е най-новият албум на популярната британска рок група COLDPLAY, озаглавен „MOON MUSIC“ („ЛУННА МУЗИКА“), и издаден през октомври 2024 г.
Пълното заглавие на този албум е „MUSIC OF THE SPHERES VOL. II: MOON MUSIC“, това е десетият студиен албум в тяхната дискография, и е нещо като втора част от проекта „MUSIC OF THE SPHERES“ („МУЗИКА ОТ СФЕРИТЕ“), като първата е със заглавието „From Earth with Love“ („От Земята с любов“) от 2021 г.
„MOON MUSIC“ обикновено го описват като поп рок албум с музикални влияния от фънк, афробийт и електронна музика, в който намира място участието на вездесъщия BRIAN ENO.
Така пред нас звучи история за това как се събуждаш сутрин и се чувстваш ужасно от себе си, ужасно от света – депресиран, изолиран, отделен, сам и неспособен да бъдеш себе си. Чрез албума това е пътуване към усещането за пълната противоположност в края на деня, за пълна с положителна енергия нагласа. Основната тема му е посланието за универсалната любов, наситено с надежда и оптимизъм.
Певецът и пианистът на групата CHRIS MARTIN споделя: „ЛУННА МУЗИКА“ съдържа чувствата и мислите в сърцето и душата ми. Това е начинът, по който ние като група се чувстваме във всичко.
